One of the questions we are asked on ocasion is how it is possible to join Harvest Church Winchester.
We recognise that firstly as disciples we join God’s church when we turn to Jesus in faith and obedience. We are firstly disciples of Jesus and live with a desire to honour and obey Him.
Clearly however Jesus and His followers taught the importance of living the life of a disciple in a local church. Disciples were urged to love one another (This can only be practical in real relationships), to meet together and to encourage each other daily.
The New Testament encourages church leaders to teach that the Word of God as having authority in the lives of disciples. Instruction was regularly given about the life of the local church, about church leadership, meetings and relationships. We seek to live these with integrity.
As Harvest Church we are only one part of God’s church in Winchester and we recognise, encourage and seek to build up other churches and believers in the town. See this link for other local churches. We would encourage you to consider joining a local church.
On a practical note we desire to work together effectively as a local church in our city. It is important for us to know who considers Harvest Church their home and the place where they are looking for pastoral care and wisdom as well as seeking to work out their responsibility to love Jesus’ church.
Once you are certain that Harvest Church is where God wants you to be, we ask that you let the local church Pastors/Elders know. Similarly it is equally valuable to know if you believe that God is leading you elsewhere and we would ask you to communicate this with the church leadership.
We do not keep a formal membership list. We do keep a church address list for the benefit of church members. If you would like your name to be included in this church address list please let the administrator know. Contact us
